Destin sits on the East Pass between Choctawhatchee Bay and the Gulf, from the harbor and Crab Island out to Henderson Beach.
Most of the land is built on, so the work here looks different: older houses and cottages coming down to make way for a rebuild, overgrown lots squeezed between neighbors, and yards that need regrading after a storm.
Small sites call for a small footprint.
A mini excavator and a track loader are built for this kind of job: take the structure apart, load it out without chewing up the street, then grade the lot to clean sand for the next build.
